Support to help you validate
Revalidation is the process that allows nurses and midwives to maintain their registration with the NMC.
All nurses and midwives need to meet a range of requirements that are designed to assure employers, patients, the public, and other healthcare professionals that they are keeping up to date with their chosen field or specialty, to ensure safe and effective fit to practise. All nurses and midwives should be able to demonstrate to a confirmer, with evidence, that all necessary requirements are met.
Nurses who have been revalidated can be confident in providing the highest level of care to their patients, which in turn assists with their career development and delivery.
Under the guidelines set by the NMC this process needs to be updated every 3 years, which means that you will need to apply for revalidation. At Emerald247, a range of support is offered to assist all agency nurses to help them fulfil their obligations. Simply call us on 02081460444 and ask to speak to our clinical nurse manager. What is revalidation?
Revalidation will provide benefits for you as a Nurse, Midwife or Nursing Associate as well as the people you care for. It will help to encourage a culture of sharing, reflection and improvement and will be an ongoing process throughout your career.
It is important to know that revalidation is not about assessing your fitness to practice; it is about promoting good practise across the whole population of Nurses, Midwives and Nursing Associates, as well as strengthening public confidence in the Nursing and Midwifery professions.
Participatory Training
Many nurse’s may be struggling with their participatory training especially due to COVID. We can provide contact details to our Training provider who offer a package of participatory training to meet the 20 point requirement.
