Role Overview & Responsibilities

Supporting individuals experiencing acute mental health difficulties requires empathy, patience, and de-escalation skills. Emerald247 supplies trained MHSWs to NHS mental health trusts and private psychiatric units.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 observation and emotional support for service users in crisis
  • Assist clinical teams with therapeutic group activities and daily routines
  • Recognize early warning signs of distress and implement de-escalation protocols
  • Promote service user independence, recovery goals, and life skills
  • Maintain precise clinical shift observations and incident reporting

Pay & Rate Guidelines

Hourly rates from £13 to £19 per hour (PAYE) with shift enhancements.
