Role Overview & Responsibilities

Construction site safety saves lives and prevents costly HSE prohibition notices. Emerald247 supplies NEBOSH certified Health & Safety Officers to audit sites, review RAMS, and enforce safety protocols.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular site health, safety, and environmental audits and inspections
• Review and approve subcontractor Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
• Investigate site incidents, near-misses, and RIDDOR reportable accidents
• Deliver site safety inductions, toolbox talks, and COSHH briefings
• Liaise with HSE inspectors and client safety directors

Pay & Rate Guidelines

Day rates from £250 to £400 per day (CIS / Ltd / PAYE).

Senior Safety Consultancy

Audit major civil engineering and commercial construction sites.

Independent Safety Oversight

Provide unbiased, rigorous safety inspection reports.

Flexible Project Rotas

Part-time auditing days or full-time resident H&S advisor roles.

Safeguarding & Compliance Checklist

Every applicant undergoes multi-layer vetting prior to site deployment.

• NEBOSH Construction National Certificate
• Tech IOSH or Graduate IOSH membership
• CSCS H&S Manager Card
• Two senior construction references
